We didn't open a bar and add music. We built a sound system and put a bar around it.

Odioba is a hi-fi listening bar across three floors on Lower Hillgate, in Stockport's Underbank. The sound system, custom horn-loaded cabinets, a rotary mixer, a DJ setup, was built by hand and tuned for this room.

An independent space that treats music with the same respect as the drinks. The name is a homonym for "audio bar"

The last Saturday of the month belongs to Freakout Collective — the Manchester crew of Gregg, Hughesy and Clarky, fusing funk, disco, soul, house and jazz. This month they're joined by Martin Moscrop: founding member of Factory Records legends A Certain Ratio, and Manchester music royalty behind the decks.
